We started off back in March trying for a Bluebonnet adventure with the Porter family. The weather and our schedules proved unwilling to make that happen. Grrrrr. But another idea came to them. Since Dad is an avid golfer they decided to create some beautiful family portraits on a local golf course. We chose a location near their home that has gorgeous ponds to showcase the sunsets. The weather was ideal and the sun, oh my gosh, the sun. It was glorious for them. I love when the light hits just at the right time when everyone has settled in for the session and the smiles and laughter are flowing easily. The kids couldn’t be more different in front of the camera. One is reserved and doesn’t like to have her picture taken while the other has a new pose for you every 5 seconds. It never fails to surprise me that we fret and worry over nothing. Once they are having fun it is hard not to get a good portrait of them. Can you even tell which sister doesn’t like the camera?

I hope it is a wonderful memory for all of them–their laughter echoing across the ponds, over the sand, and through the trees.
