Wild Flower Fun | Montgomery TX Family Session

When I initially spoke with the Foley family they told me they wanted outdoor family photos. No problem. There are lots of great places to capture some special family fun. As the time approached we added in grandma and grandpa, then the family dog, and oh maybe, if we are lucky, some bluebonnets? Hmmm, that does make the location a little more tricky. I’m very happy that my clients see these portraits sessions as a time to make special family memories and are willing to go on a bit of an outing to capture those moments in just the right place. Sometimes we have to get out of the pretty Woodlands “bubble”. Sometimes shooting down in Houston just isn’t right either.  Luckily, we are surrounded by cool little country towns with charm and personality and lots of wide open spaces.

We met up in Montgomery, TX at the Fernland Historical Park. It’s a little gem of a park and has a country feel but also hosts a beautiful nature park. There are old wooden buildings, flower-adorned paths for walking, and lots of open space for doggies to run. It was the perfect spot for us to wander and giggle and talk.
