Meyer Family

We always capture a variety of images during family sessions. Lots of group shots, individual portraits, fun candids, and of course photo bombs. Case in point, check out George below spying on mom and dad. I almost photoshopped him out but I think it’s so cute to see him back there. I guess it’s a little reminder to mom and dad that with 6 little ones you never are really alone;)

I’ve worked with the Meyer clan for years now and know how they like to use their images. Bernadette is a graphic designer and always makes use of her cute kiddos for her card designs. Her work is great so I want to give a shout out for her –you can find her at Meyer Market Designs  Walking through their home though, you will see family images in almost every room. They do a great job of using different mediums to print their portraits and also mix various art elements into their displays. There are collages printed on wood, fabric, canvas, and paper.  When we are together for a session I try to capture the kids in unique ways to let them stand out individually but also to make sure that when printed for artwork, the images will tie together. I wouldn’t want one child photographed with a totally different background than all the others. For instance in the images below each of the kids was photographed individually around the property and with the car but this grouping works well because there are two boys with dark backgrounds, two boys with the interior of the cab and then little Gemma and Hank have a nice green landscape background. They have so many fun images from this session that I will probably have to blog a couple more groupings…because I can’t help myself with all these sweet faces and freckles!
